RAMBAN, MAY 15: District Industries Centre (DIC) Ramban, in line with the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, and under the guidance of the Director Industries & Commerce Jammu, today organized an awareness camp at village Dharmound in Block Batote.

The objective was to spread awareness about the implementation of Strategic Investment Plans (SIP) for Jammu & Kashmir under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme, along with other schemes being implemented by DIC Ramban.

The camp held under the supervision of GM DIC Ravinder Anand was commenced with a welcome address by Project Manager, Kuldeep Singh. During the session, participants were encouraged to register their business units on the Udyam portal (www.udyamregistration.gov.in) to formalize MSMEs in District Ramban.

The Project Manager also sensitized attendees about the procedure for applying under various schemes, explaining the benefits of enrollment with DIC. Educated unemployed youth were informed about the financial assistance and subsidies available under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) for establishing ventures in both manufacturing and service sectors.

Additionally, awareness about the PM Vishwakarma scheme was also created. The scheme generated interest among aspiring youth, many of whom expressed willingness to step forward and avail benefits under PMEGP through DIC Ramban.

The camp concluded with a vote of thanks from the Project Manager, who appreciated the public for their enthusiastic participation.
