29th Annual Football Championship 2021-22: DFA Hajin defeats DFA Pulwama, DFA Bla defeats DFA B’pora

Srinagar: In the ongoing Annual Football Championship 2021-22 two matches were played at Synthetic Turf TRC Srinagar. The first match was played between DFA Zone Hajin & DFA Pulwama. DFA Zone Hajin defeated DFA Pulwama by three goals to one. Wahid, Wajahat & Rahil Gowher scored for the winners. Fardeen scored the only goal from Pulwama. DFA Hajin qualified for the final phase of the Championship.
The second match was played between DFA Bandipora & DFA Baramulla. An exciting match attracted the attention of the audience as both the teams tried to dominate from the very beginning to find the net. However the full time ended in a 1:1 draw. The tie breaker rule was applied & DFA Baramulla emerged Winners by defeating DFA Bandipora by Five Goals to Four . With this win DFA Baramulla also qualified for the final Phase of the championship.
The Tournament is organized by J&K Football Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
DC B’pora flags-off student group for Snow Skiing Course at Gulmarg
B’Pora: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr.Owais Ahmad Thursday flagged off a group of 10 students for participating in a snow skiing course at Gulmarg to be organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
While interacting with the students, the DC asked them to learn skiing with dedication to achieve excellence in sports. He also complemented the Sports department for organizing the event.
Dr.Owais said that sports are the basic element which helps students to grow physically and mentally. He urged the student community to always take interest in sports, apart from their curricular activities for their overall development.
He said the Bandipora has proved its mettle in sports activities at national and international platforms and assured every possible help from the administration to provide basic sports infrastructure across the district besides organising training and practice sessions for polishing their skills.
Incharge activities, Nasir Hussain Khan said Students for different skiing courses have been selected from different zones of Bandipora.
He said that a Group of five girls arrived back yesterday after completing the course at Gulmarg.
Assistant Commissioner Development Abdul Rashid Das, Chief Education Officer BandiporaAbRoubShaad were also present on the occasion.
