Inter-zonal district level Table Tennis & Badminton championships begin in B’la for AAG’s Boys & Girls

BARAMULLA, MAY 28: In a spirited celebration of athleticism and youth talent, Youth Services and Sports Baramulla, today kick-started the inter-zonal district level Table Tennis and Badminton competitions for all age groups (AAG’s) Boys and Girls.

These high-energy competitions are being held at two distinct venues viz. Indoor Stadium Khawaja Bagh and Bipin Rawat Stadium Baramulla.

The Table Tennis competition was hosted at the Indoor Stadium Khawaja Bagh. On Day 1, matches were conducted in the Under-14 and Under-17 boys’ categories, witnessing participation from 19 players in the U-14 and 20 players in the U-17 category, representing various zones of the district.

Simultaneously, the Badminton tournament was launched with great enthusiasm at Bipin Rawat Stadium. The competition saw an overwhelming response, with 45 young shuttlers in the Under-14 category and 40 players in the Under-17 boys’ category showcasing their skills and passion.

Both events have been meticulously organized with a focus on nurturing young talent and promoting sports culture at the grassroots level. The competitions are scheduled to continue till 31st May 2025, promising more action and sportsmanship in the coming days.
