The meeting discussed threadbare the modalities on the demand of enhancement of salaries and allowances of the Legislators and the issues concerning pensionary benefits of Ex-legislators.

During the meeting, MLAs from across party lines put forth their suggestions and demanded an increase in their salaries besides enhanced pensions for the former lawmakers. They also demanded provision of laptops and other requirements, which have already been approved by the government.

On the occasion, the Chairman of the Committee asked the members to conduct a detailed exercise on the issue in consultation with the Office of Assembly Secretariat focusing on aligning enhancement in the salaries and other incentives in accordance with the market inflation and rising expenses.
