PULWAMA, JUNE 04: As a precursor to the flagship initiative Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, District Administration Pulwama today organised Information, Education and Communication (IEC) events at Inderwali Achgoza and Bathnoor Tral.

These events witnessed active participation from the local tribal population. Officials from the Rural Development Department and other allied departments were also present in the events.

During these programmes, awareness was raised on the objectives of the Dharti Aaba Abhiyan and critical gaps were identified in infrastructure and human development indicators in tribal areas. These gaps will be addressed through targeted interventions during the upcoming campaign.

Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan is a nationwide initiative focused on the holistic development of tribal communities. In line with this vision, district administration Pulwama has devised a detailed plan for the implementation of the campaign.

From 15th to 30th June, a series of benefit saturation camps will be held across tribal villages of the district. These camps will offer on-the-spot services under various government schemes, including Aadhaar and Voter ID enrolment, Jan Dhan account opening, Ayushman Bharat card issuance, social security pensions, registrations under PMAY-G, Ujjwala Yojana, and PM-KISAN among others.

Special focus will be given to addressing local development bottlenecks and ensuring universal access to basic services in tribal areas.
