RAMBAN, JUNE 14: The District Development Council Ramban, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Shamshad Shan today reviewed the formulation of District Capex Plan 2025-26 here at a meeting.
The meeting was attended by DDC Members, Additional District Development Commissioner Roshan Lal, Chief Planning Officer Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Ashfaq Ahmed, besides District and Sectoral officers.
The Chairperson informed that formulation of District Capex Plan 2025-26 is at final stage as per allocated funds of Rs. 60 crore earmarked for developmental activities across the district. She said all the DDC members and BDOs have submitted their plans for finalization at district level.
She took a detailed review of the progress achieved under various sectors and emphasized that the planning process for the upcoming financial year must be participatory and inclusive.
The Chairperson asked the education department to ensure proper functioning of Smart ClassRooms where equipment and other material have already been provided. She also directed the Health department to ensure the functioning of the PHCs from new buildings where construction has been completed.
The DDC members also highlighted various pressing issues of their constituencies and sought special attention for resolving the same. The DDC members further stressed on augmentation of healthcare and education infrastructure, construction of new roads and effective implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and Power sector schemes.
The CPO provided a detailed presentation on the district’s developmental achievements across various departments and issued necessary guidelines and instructions to officers to meet the targets.
