RAMBAN, JUNE 17: Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan awareness and saturation camp was today held at Village Chachal in Panchayat Karwah, Block Banihal, to empower tribal communities by providing access to government schemes and services.
The camp saw enthusiastic participation from the local Scheduled Tribe (ST) population. Senior officers and field-level officials from government departments briefed the attendees on welfare schemes related to livelihood, skill development, education, social security and self-employment.
Officials addressed several public grievances on the spot, while others were documented for timely follow-up by the concerned departments. The officers emphasized the need to ensure that no eligible ST household is denied benefits of government welfare programs.
The Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan awareness camps are being organized across 11 identified ST villages in Ramban district and will continue till June 30, 2025. The initiative aims to promote inclusive development and participatory governance through grassroots-level outreach.
Local residents expressed gratitude to the administration and hoped that such initiatives would lead to meaningful socio-economic development in tribal areas.
