KULGAM, JUNE 25: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, conducted a public outreach visit to village Khull to take firsthand appraisal of public grievances and assess developmental needs and infrastructure works in the area.

During the visit, several delegations and local residents met the DC and raised various demands, including making the existing filtration plants functional, augmentation of teaching staff at the Higher Secondary School, construction of the pending road to Gujjar Basti, desilting of the irrigation canal, removal of encroachments, along with several other public issues.

DC gave a patient hearing to the concerns raised by the public. Some issues were resolved on the spot, while others were noted for timely redressal by the concerned departments. He directed all officers to ensure prompt and effective grievance redressal, and emphasized improving overall service delivery in the area.

As part of the visit, DC also inspected the ongoing construction work of the Additional Classroom (ACR) at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Khull. He reviewed the pace and quality of work and instructed the Executive Engineer to expedite the work and ensure its completion within the stipulated time frame.

DC further took stock of works under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) and other developmental works in the area, stressing the importance of timely execution for public benefit.
