SDRF 2nd Battalion personnel conduct three rescue operations across Poonch, Doda and Jammu

JAMMU, JUNE 25: SDRF 2nd Battalion personnel today conducted three rescue operations across the districts of Poonch, Doda and Jammu.

On receiving information from PCR Poonch regarding a road blockage due to fallen trees at Qazi Mohra near Poonch town, the Poonch SDRF rescue team rushed to the spot and cleared the road for smooth flow of traffic.

On receiving information from PCR Doda regarding the drowning of a person in Lopa Nallah, the Doda SDRF team rushed to the spot and started a rescue operation that continued from June 23 to June 25. After sustained efforts, the team finally succeeded in retrieving one body from the nallah. The victim was identified as Bashart Hussain, son of Zahoor Din, age 32, resident of Dunadi, Doda.

On receiving information from PCR Jammu this morning regarding a person trapped in a flash flood in River Tawi near Bikram Chowk Jammu, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF 2nd Battalion Jammu) responded swiftly and rescued one person, namely Sh. Madan Lal, age 55, son of Panjabu Lal, resident of Talab Tillo Jammu.
