KULGAM, JUNE 27: As part of the ongoing Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, a series of awareness cum saturation camps were held in tribal villages including Avil and other Scheduled Tribe (ST) dominated areas of the district.

The camps aimed to raise awareness among tribal populations about various government welfare schemes, and ensure on-spot registration and enrollment of eligible beneficiaries under flagship programmes.

Departments including Social Welfare, Health, Education, ICDS, Agriculture, and Rural Development actively participated in the initiative.

Special focus was laid on saturation of schemes including PMJAY-SEHAT, PM Awas Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana, pension schemes, and other welfare initiatives. Citizens were also sensitized about the rights and entitlements available to them under various tribal welfare legislations and schemes.

Officials facilitated on-the-spot documentation, verification, and registration processes to ensure maximum coverage and benefit delivery at the grassroots level.

IEC materials were also distributed for wider dissemination of information.
