BARAMULLA, JUNE 27: In view of the ongoing Muharram observances, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Uri, Shubhankar Pratyush, today conducted an extensive tour of Kamalkote, Shadra, and other adjoining areas where Muharram processions are scheduled to take place.
Accompanied by sectoral officers and officials from various departments, SDM reviewed the arrangements being put in place for the smooth and peaceful conduct of religious processions. He thoroughly inspected the designated routes and took stock of necessary facilities including traffic regulation, sanitation, drinking water, lighting, and medical aid.
During the visit, SDM also interacted with local residents and community representatives to assess their requirements and received feedback regarding preparations.
He assured the public that the administration is committed to ensuring all necessary arrangements are completed well in time, keeping in view the sanctity and significance of the holy month.
SDM instructed concerned departments to remain vigilant and proactive in their coordination to facilitate a hassle-free environment for the devotees.
