KISHTWAR, JUNE 27: To foster inclusive development and tribal empowerment, the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gramin Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) Awareness and Benefits Saturation Camps were simultaneously organised across three blocks of Kishtwar district today.

The camps were held at Panchayat Ghar, Block Mughal Maidan; Panchayat  Ranie-A, Block Marwah and Panchayat Kither, Block Bounjwah—drawing enthusiastic participation from the tribal community.

Focused on Information, Education, and Communication (IEC), the camp aimed to create awareness and streamline access to various government schemes among tribal populations.

Departments such as Health, Jal Shakti, Agriculture, Education, ICDS, Employment, Rural Development and FCS&CA set up dedicated stalls, providing assistance to locals for registration and processing of applications for different schemes and services.

Adding to the impact, special health check-ups were conducted for tribal residents in all three blocks, addressing critical health concerns and delivering primary care services on-site.

Gram Sabhas were also convened during the camp, where vital community issues were discussed and resolutions were passed, empowering tribal voices in the development process.

The initiative provided a rare opportunity for direct interaction between tribal residents and government officials, fostering dialogue, addressing grievances and strengthening trust between communities and service providers.

Residents and tribal elders expressed heartfelt appreciation for the administration’s outreach, especially in regions where access to such services has historically been limited. The camp was widely acknowledged as a model of participatory governance and inclusive service delivery.

DDC Member Bounjwah Aemna Banoo, DDC Member Marwah Zaffarulah Sheikh, BDO Bounjwah and other senior officers were present during the events.
