BANDIPORA, JULY 01: The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) meeting under Mission YUVA was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, at Mini Secretariat Bandipora.

During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on the applications received under the scheme. The committee deliberated on the cases submitted through the Skill and Business Development Unit (SBDU) and, after thorough scrutiny and evaluation, approved 51 cases unanimously for financial and institutional support under the Mission YUVA initiative.

Speaking on the occasion, DC highlighted the significance of Mission YUVA in empowering youth through skill development, entrepreneurship promotion, and self-employment opportunities. He stressed the need for robust post-approval support and follow-up to ensure the sustainable success of the approved units.

DC also directed the concerned departments to expedite the process of sanctioning, disbursing benefits, and extending all necessary handholding support to the beneficiaries in a time-bound manner.

On the occasion, Qadri emphasized the importance of strengthening youth-led entrepreneurship and promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities in the district. He further stressed that empowering the youth through structured support systems and skill-based initiatives is key to long-term socio-economic development in the region.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Zaffar Husson Shawl, who is also the District Nodal Officer for Mission YUVA; AD Employment, Nodal Officer JKEDI, District Development Manager NABARD, Social Welfare Officer, representatives from J&K Lead Bank; and other concerned officials.
