DC Kishtwar reviews power scenario in district

KISHTWAR, JULY 02: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, chaired a meeting with the JPDCL Kishtwar to review the power supply situation in the district.

The AEE JPDCL Kishtwar apprised the DC on the current status and progress of JPDCL in the District.
During the meeting, the DC directed JPDCL Kishtwar to provide day-wise progress reports on the installation of smart meters in the town area and other parts of the district. M/S Genus, the executing agency for smart meter installation, was instructed to expedite the process as the current performance was found unsatisfactory.

PGCIL was directed to carry out the execution of underground cabling work in the town for decongestion and town facelifting. PGCIL informed the DC that the survey for the same would be completed within a week.

The Sub Transmission Authority, Doda, was instructed to expedite the completion of 33/11 KV receiving stations at Chatroo, Bounjwah and Malipeth before the onset of winter.

Further directions were issued to speed up land identification for the Dool and Kuntwara receiving stations under the RR Plan of KWAR HEP and Rattle HEP, respectively.

PGCIL was also directed to complete all allotted works under RDSS by the deadline of December 2025. AEE TLMD Udhampur was instructed to ensure the installation of the 50 MVA power transformer at Katersamna Grid is completed by August 2025.

The meeting was attended by ACR Kishtwar Idrees Lone, CPO Kishtwar Shahnawaz Bali, Sudhir Kumar Sharma, Technical Officer ED Kishtwar; AEE Sub Division Kishtwar, Showkat Khan; AEE TLMD Udhampur, Kewal Singh; AEE Thathri; AE STD Doda; Chief Manager PGCIL, Moin Manzoor; besides representatives of RECPDCL and all TKCs.
