RAMBAN JULY 8: In a stirring celebration of transformation, entrepreneurship, and women empowerment, SBI RSETI Ramban today hosted the Association of the Successful Alumni of RSETI Entrepreneurs (ASARE) meet at its training campus. The event served as a beacon of inspiration for the current batch of Women’s Tailoring trainees, as former trainees shared their powerful journeys from aspiration to achievement.
The meet was graced by Director RSETI Ramban, S. Harvinder Singh, who introduced the alumni and underscored the institute’s holistic approach—offering not just skill-based training but also continuous post-training support, handholding and bank linkage to promote self-reliant entrepreneurship. He reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to guiding trainees from classroom to business ownership.
Notable alumni included Mehroon Nisa, who overcame self-doubt to establish herself as a self-sufficient tailor in her community; Sunita Devi, who transformed her identity from a housewife to a professional beautician and Rafiya Farooq, who emerged from a rural background to become a recognized entrepreneur admired for her determination and success.
The alumni shared real-life insights into turning skills into sustainable businesses—covering aspects of innovation, customer engagement and financial independence. Their stories resonated with themes of courage, consistency and the life-changing impact of training under the RSETI model.
The ASARE meet served as a platform for knowledge exchange, peer learning and mentoring—creating a bridge between successful alumni and aspiring women entrepreneurs. It reinforced the core mission of SBI RSETI Ramban: to empower rural women with skills, self-confidence and opportunities to create their own success stories.
