UDHAMPUR, JULY 11: Uttam Singh, today took charge as Chief Planning Officer, Udhampur, relieving Mohammad Iqbal Zarger. He brings experience from several districts where he held planning and administrative roles.
Before this posting, Uttam Singh served as CPO Jammu from December 2023. His tenure there focused on improving transparency, timely scheme execution and coordination among departments.
In earlier assignments, he worked in districts such as Kathua and Ramban. In Kathua, he supported infrastructure development in border areas. In Ramban, he handled planning work in difficult terrain, focussing on vital sectors.
On assuming charge in Udhampur, Singh thanked the administration for the opportunity and said he would continue to focus on efficient planning and transparent service delivery.
The District Administration Jammu had bid him farewell yesterday on the conclusion of his tenure there. Officers appreciated his professional conduct and effective coordination during his time in the district.
Singh said he looks forward to working with the Udhampur administration and contributing to ongoing and upcoming development initiatives.
