POONCH, MAY 24: Continuing the efforts of the District Administration to reach out to families affected by cross border incidents, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) today paid a visit to the residence of Shakeela Begum, a civilian who lost her life in recent cross border shelling in Village Khanetar. The visit was part of the administration’s ongoing engagement with affected families and its commitment to stand with them during times of distress.

The ACR was accompanied by Tehsildar Haveli Azhar Majid. The officers met with the grieving family members, expressed heartfelt sympathies, and conveyed condolences on behalf of Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal.

They assured the family that the administration shares in their grief and will ensure all possible assistance and relief as per government norms.

While the primary purpose of the visit was to offer condolences and express solidarity, the officers also took stock of the overall situation in the area.

They conducted a preliminary assessment of the damage caused by the shelling, which included inspecting affected households and nearby structures. The findings will contribute to a detailed report for initiating timely relief, compensation, and possible safety measures.
