ADC Rajouri held a meeting of private Tuition/Coaching Centres Inspection Committee

RAJOURI, AUGUST 02: The Inspection committee of District Rajouri for Private Tuition/Coaching Centres today held its detailed meeting under the Chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri Rajeev Kumar Khajuria with its members including Chief Education Officer Rajouri, Bishamber Dass; Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Rajouri, Sardar Khan; Executive Engineer JPDCL Rajouri, Mohd Rashid; Assistant Director Fire & Emergency Services Rajouri, Executive Officer Municipal Council/Committee Rajouri/Nowshera/ Sunderbani/ Kalakote/ Thanamandi.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri elaborated in detail the terms of reference of the committee which include the inspection of various parameters in all the Private Tuition/Coaching Centres being run in the district to ensure that they are adhering to fire and safety norms and is risk free, the building of the Tuition Centres are adhering to the building safety code and have building safety certificate obtained from the appropriate authority, the centers have parking facility for staff and students, the centres allocate mandatory minimum 1 sq. meter area for each student during a class, the centres have first aid kit and medical treatment/ assistance facility, police helpline numbers, fire services helpline numbers, women helpline etc. displayed prominently in the centre, the buildings are fully electrified, well ventilated and sufficient lightening arrangements are there in the class-rooms, safe and potable water available for students and staff, CCTV cameras are installed inside and outside the coaching centers, separate toilets for males and females are available in the building premises of the centre and exit doors/plan for any exigency is there.

The ADC explained each parameter to the committee, the strategy and schedule for inspecting these coaching centres in all sub-divisions including Rajouri, Nowshera, Sunderbani, Koteranka and Kalakote.

From tomorrow the Committee will start physical inspection of Rajouri Sub-Division, so that after inspection of all these centers of the district the report can be submitted to the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu within a week’s time.
