BHADERWAH, SEPTEMBER 20: Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar Bhutyal today reviewed the arrangements for the forthcoming Dussehra and Navratri celebrations in the town.
The meeting finalized the Action Plan with special focus on cleanliness, smooth essential services, security, regulation of market rates, besides provision of medical facilities to meet any exigency.
Representatives from various departments and religious organizations attended the meeting, with the latter assuring their full cooperation in creating a festive, safe and joyful atmosphere.
The ADC directed the Municipal Council Bhaderwah to conduct intensive sanitation drives around temples, congregation sites and market areas. The Jal Shakti Department (PHE) and Power Development Department (PDD) were asked to ensure uninterrupted supply of drinking water and power during the festival days. The ADC further directed the Health Department to establish mobile medical units and first-aid centers near celebration venues to cater to medical needs of the public.
Market regulation was another key area of focus, with directives issued to the enforcement authorities to intensify inspections of shops and markets to prevent overcharging, hoarding and sale of substandard items. The ADC emphasized active support from religious bodies and local community representatives to uphold harmony and ensure smooth festivities.
The meeting was attended by the Executive Officer Municipal Committee, BMO, AEE JPDCL, Naib Tehsildar, TSO, officials from Fire & Emergency Department and representatives from several line departments and religious organizations.
