BUDGAM, JULY 02: Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah, today convened a meeting of officers to review the arrangements being put in place for the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th Muharram- ul-Harram in the district.
The meeting had detailed deliberation on various issues and demands including scheduled power and water supply, repairing and surface leveling of roads, link roads and inner lanes in all areas, timely distribution of ration, LPG and firewood, sanitation, installation/restoration of street lights, daily garbage lifting, adequate healthcare facilities, transport and other related facilities in all Shia dominated areas.
Stressing on prompt and elaborative arrangements, the ADC directed the officers to ensure full support and fulfil the genuine demands well in advance. He directed the officers to ensure adequate supply of essential commodities like Ration, water supply , power supply, firewood etc on Muharram.
The ADC asked the concerned authorities to ensure full security and free transport facilities during the period.
The meeting among others was attended by SDMs, CMO, Executive Engineers of R&B, PDD and PHE , EOs and others.
