ADC reviews working of Numberdari system in Bhaderwah

BHADERWAH, DECEMBER 08: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Sunil Kumar Bhutyal convened a review meeting to discuss and review the working of Numberdars and Chowkidars in Sub Division Bhaderwah.

The meeting was held in the local Community Hall and attended by Naib Tehsildar, Karam Preet Singh; Naib Tehsildar Bhalla, Shambu Nath Shan, revenue officials, field staff and representatives from different areas of the Sub Division.

The ADC reviewed the functioning, responsibilities, and field reports of Numberdars and Chowkidars. He emphasized the importance of strengthening the grassroots revenue system for better public service delivery.

The officers were directed to ensure close coordination and effective communication between field workers and the administration.

The ADC also instructed the concerned officials to resolve pending issues and streamline the working mechanism to improve efficiency in rural areas. He highlighted that Numberdars and Chowkidars play a crucial role in maintaining village-level records, ensuring public outreach and assisting the administration in daily operations.

The meeting concluded with the ADC stressing the need for accountability and regular monitoring to ensure smooth functioning of the revenue system in Bhaderwah.
