BANDIPORA, JUNE 23: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Nazir Ahmad Mir, on Tuesday visited various Imam Baras across Sumbal Sub-Division and reviewed the arrangements for the smooth observance of Muharram.
During the visit, the ADDC inspected facilities at several Imam Baras and interacted with local representatives, religious leaders and members of the Shia community to take stock of the arrangements and address their concerns.
He directed the concerned departments to ensure that all necessary facilities remain available throughout the Muharram period, including uninterrupted power and water supply, sanitation, street lighting, road maintenance and other essential services for the convenience of devotees.
Nazir Ahmad Mir emphasized the importance of close coordination among all line departments and instructed officers to remain available on the ground to promptly address any issues arising during the observance of Muharram.
The ADDC assured the community members that the District Administration is committed to providing all requisite facilities and ensuring the peaceful and smooth conduct of Muharram Observance. Community members appreciated the proactive approach of the administration and assured their full cooperation in maintaining peace, harmony and communal brotherhood during the holy month.
