Discusses honing of filmmaking skills of JK youth with IICT officials

MUMBAI, OCTOBER 8: Advisor to Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani held extensive interactions with prominent film and entertainment industry leaders and tourism stakeholders on the second day of FICCI Frames at Mumbai.

The event was attended by prominent personalities from film and Entertainment world. Joint Director Tourism Kashmir Waseem Raja and Joint Director Tourism Jammu Ajaz Qaiser accompanied the Advisor.

The Advisor also met local tour operators of Maharashtra and held details discourse on promotion of J&K Tourism in Maharashtra. Besides, the Advisor held detailed deliberations with senior officials of IICT (Indian Institute of Creative Technologies) for exploring possibilities of honing the creative skills of Kashmiri youth in the creative industry like Filmmaking, comic, animation, post production and other creative arenas.

On the directions of the Advisor, Joint Directors of Tourism visited the campus of IICT and interacted with the CEO and faculty of the Institute to get a know how about the institute and how the courses offered by the Institute could benefit youth of J&K towards chiseling their creative abilities.

These interactions are part of the J&K Government’s efforts to revive tourism which has suffered a setback post Pahalgam attack in April 2025.
