BUDGAM, OCTOBER 02: As part of the Reform Utsav, a nationwide citizen-driven governance campaign, being observed in conjunction with the People’s Plan Campaign (PPC) ‘Sabki Yojana Sabka Vikas’, an AYUSH Health Camp was organised today at Gram Sabha Kenihama under the thematic initiative “Healthy Village”.
The camp was organised by the AYUSH Health and Wellness Centre (AHWC), Kenihama, under the supervision of District AYUSH Officer, Budgam, Dr. Muzaffar Hussain, and was conducted by Dr. Nusrat Bashir, Medical Officer, AHWC Kenihama.
A large number of local residents participated in the camp and availed themselves of free health check-ups, AYUSH healthcare services and medicines, including immunity-boosting preparations. The camp also facilitated Prakriti Parikshan of beneficiaries to familiarise them with their individual health constitution and the importance of adopting suitable health and wellness practices.
During the camp, Dr. Nusrat Bashir sensitised the participants and local residents about various preventive and promotive healthcare practices under the AYUSH system, with special emphasis on healthy living, Yoga and the importance of adopting a holistic approach to health and well-being.
On the occasion, Information, Education and Communication (IEC) material highlighting the benefits of AYUSH systems, Prakriti Parikshan and healthy lifestyle practices was also displayed and distributed among the participants.
The initiative aimed at strengthening community-level healthcare delivery by extending AYUSH services to the grassroots and creating awareness about preventive healthcare. It also sought to encourage active public participation at the Gram Sabha level towards realising the objective of a “Healthy Village”.
The programme reaffirmed the commitment of the AYUSH Department towards promoting accessible, preventive and community-oriented healthcare services and enhancing public awareness about traditional systems of medicine.
