Srinagar, Apr 24 : Akbar Jaipuri memorial committee in Srinagar on Wednesday extended its deepest condolences on the passing away of former chairman of Anjuman-e-Jaferia Poonch, Alhaj Rahat Hussain Nehvi.
In a statement issued to the news agency, the committee expressed sorrow over the demise of a prominent Shia Muslim figure of Poonch.
Rahat Hussain Nehvi breathed his last at his residence in Shia Mohalla, Poonch.
“Alhaj Rahat Hussain Nehvi was known for his dedication and contributions to various Shia organizations, including his role as the patron of Anjuman e Jaffria Poonch and his commitment towards the cause of Shia-Sunni unity,” reads the statement.
The Akbar Jaipuri memorial committee in Srinagar, upon hearing the news of his death, extended their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
“Akbar Jaipuri memorial committee pays tributes to Alhaj Rahat Hussain Nehvi. We recognize his profound impact on the community and his enduring legacy of selfless service to the people of Poonch,” the statement reads.
The spokesperson through the statement said that the passing of Alhaj Rahat Hussain Nehvi has left a deep void in the hearts of many, but that his legacy of unity and service will continue to inspire generations to come.
