Assures to forward more cases in National Lok Adalat in December

ALC Ramban disburses Rs 18 lakh Workmen Compensation

RAMBAN, NOVEMBER 18: Assistant Labour Commissioner Ramban, Amit Kumar, today disbursed an amount of Rs.18 lakh as Workmen Compensation in favour of dependents of the deceased ‘Manpreet Singh’ in the case titled as Bharat Singh and others V/S Liberty General Insurance.

This case was decided in the Lok Adalat held in the previous month at District Court Complex Ramban. The Compensation comes as a relief to the family of deceased under the provisions of Workmen Compensation Act
ALC emphasized that the Labour Court Ramban is actively processing a number of cases under various acts such as Workmen Compensation Act, Payment of Wages Act and Payment of Gratuity Act. He assured that his office is working diligently to clear pending cases and ensure that justice is delivered at the earliest.

The next National Lok Adalat will be held in the month of December 2024 and this office will forward more cases to the Lok Adalat, which are about to be settled amicably between the parties.

The ALC urged upon the applicants to be present at all court hearings, especially in cases nearing final stages where evidence and witnesses are crucial. He called for cooperation from the applicants to help expedite the disposal of cases.
