Area Marketing Office organizes Awareness Camp at Hanjoora Chadoora

BUDGAM, FEBRUARY 26: Area Marketing Office Budgam today conducted second in a row awareness camp at Hanjoora Chadoora to create awareness among the fruit growers and other stakeholders of the horticulture sector about various schemes of the Government particularly Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).

Large gathering of growers and traders associated with horticulture turned up to listen to the experts and resource persons from various allied departments, lead bank present on the occasion. PRIs of the area also took part in the camp.

The camp was chaired by Deputy Director Horticulture Planning and Marketing Kashmir who encapsulated the plans of the department and urged the audience to take full advantage of the schemes available under HADP.

The experts from Horticulture Production, Animal Husbandry and other sister concern departments gave a detailed account of their schemes with procedures linked with each scheme and stressed to apply state of the art techniques in the cultivation of horticultural crops and post harvest management.

Area Marketing Officer Budgam, Satya Bushan said that Horticulture P&M Budgam in collaboration with the fruit growers will leave no stone unturned in raising socio-economic status of orchardists and unemployed youth of the area.
