Assembly Elections-2024: DEO Bandipora visits Special Polling Stations

BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 30: The District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri today conducted a comprehensive visit to several special polling stations in the district, as part of the preparations for elections scheduled to be held on Oct 01.

The visit was aimed to evaluate the readiness of polling facilities and ensure a smooth electoral process for all voters.

During the visit, the DEO inspected the accessibility and arrangements at each polling station, including Red and Pink polling stations of Bandipora and Sonawari AC, emphasizing the importance of providing a welcoming and efficient environment for voters.

In addition to assessing the infrastructure, the DEO engaged with polling officials and gathered feedback to improve the overall electoral experience.

He said election authorities are committed to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections, and will continue to monitor preparations across all polling stations.

Following the inspection of special polling stations, the DEO visited the control room established for reporting and monitoring on poll day.

The DEO reviewed the operational readiness of the control room, for real-time monitoring and addressing any issues that may arise during the elections. The facility is equipped with the latest technology to facilitate prompt communication and coordination among election officials.

Among others, the DEO was accompanied by ADC Zaffar Husson Shawal, DIO Aadil Manzoor Wani and other concerned.
