KISHTWAR, AUGUST 24: Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign has been intensified across the district Kishtwar under the supervision of District Election Officer Rajesh Kumar Shavan.

The campaign is actively being carried out across all three Assembly Constituencies in the district, with each activity meticulously coordinated by the respective Nodal Officers, ROs, and AROs. The initiative engages a broad spectrum of the community, including teachers, students, first-time voters, and other prominent civil society members, aiming to ensure maximum voter awareness and participation.

At 49-Kishtwar Assembly Constituency, the SVEEP awareness program was formally launched at Government Degree College Kishtwar by District Election Officer. The launch coincided with the Inter-District Division Level Kabaddi Tournament 2024, organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Kishtwar, with teams from 10 districts of Jammu participating. The event witnessed active participation from the DYSSO officer, his staff, and numerous students and others.

The SVEEP pledge was administered to all the Participants on the occasion.
In parallel, a focused SVEEP campaign was initiated in the Nagseni area of the 50 Nagseni Paddar Assembly Constituency. Under the close supervision of Nodal Officer SVEEP/Principal HSS Nagseni, Dr. Riazul Haq, and in the presence of CEO Kishtwar Javeed Ahmed Kichloo and Dy CEO Masood Qazi, a SVEEP vehicle fitted with banners and an audio system was flagged off to disseminate awareness among the voters for greater and stronger democracy across the area.

Similarly, a SVEEP Rally was organized at HSS Binoon, Bonjwah Block of the 48 Inderwal Assembly Constituency, where scores of students and first-time voters were led by SVEEP Nodal Officer Shabir Ahmed Butt (Lecturer). The rally aimed to encourage voter participation and highlighted the importance of voting rights in shaping the nation’s future.

Additionally, an awareness camp was held at GHSS Chatroo within the same constituency, where students engaged in a seminar to discuss the significance of voting rights and their critical role in the nation’s development.
