HANDWARA, SEPTEMBER 4: In order to ensure smooth polling, EVM, VVPAT training programme was today organized by the District Election Office Kupwara at Environment Hall Handwara and Town Hall Handwara.
The training programme was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara, Aziz Ahmad Rather who is also Returning Officer (RO), 05-Handwara AC.
The training was imparted in two sessions by District level master Trainer (DLMT), Syed Mohamed Farooq Geelani.
In the first session, 100 employees were given a brief description of EVM, VVPAT and documentation. The RO impressed upon all employees to be neutral and impartial in the poll conducting process.
The 2nd session was attended by another group of 100 employees, who were also given hands-on training of EVM, VVPAT and documentation. During both the sessions, Form 12 was distributed & collected from the employees.
