Directs for strict monitoring at checkpoints to curb illegal activities

SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 05: The Expenditure Observer, Nelapatla Ashok Babu today conducted a tour of Gagren, Reshnagri and Vehil areas of the Shopian AC to check the working of Police nakas and Static Surveillance Teams (SSTs).

The visit was part of the preparations for the elections scheduled for 18 September 2024 in the district.
Expenditure Observer interacted with Police officials and officials of Static Surveillance Teams (SST) and directed them to strictly adhere to the Election Commission’s guidelines, emphasizing the need to curb illegal expenditures, including cash distribution and the use of drugs and liquor.

The Observer instructed the teams to maintain strict monitoring at all entry points of the district, ensuring that no illegal activities compromise the electoral process.
