Assembly Elections-2024 Final randomization of polling staff held in Kathua

KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 29: The final/third randomization of the polling staff for deployment across 704 polling stations in 63-Bani, 64-Billawar, 65-Basohli, 66-Jasrota, 68-Kathua (SC) and 68 Hiranagar ACs was held, here today in the VC Room of DC Office Complex.

The process of staff deployment was conducted under the supervision of General Observer Chhering Dorje Negi and General Observer A.N Khanum (joined virtually) in the presence of District Election Officer (DEO), Dr Rakesh Minhas.

During the third randomization, as many as 2816 employees were assigned their final polling stations in respective Assembly constituencies.

The randomization process was conducted through dedicated software as per the prescribed guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI), ensuring fairness and impartiality in the deployment of polling staff to six Assembly constituencies of District Kathua.

The whole process was video recorded as per the laid guidelines of the Election Commission of India.
The third randomization involved a computerized process that ensures polling officials are placed randomly, reinforcing the credibility of the electoral process and preventing any bias.

Returning Officers of 66-Jasrota, Akhil Sadotra, 67-Kathua (SC) Vishav Partap Singh, 68-Hiranagar Rakesh Kumar were present. While Returning Officers of 63-Bani, Giasul Haq, 64-Billawar Vinay Khosla and 65-Basohli Anil Kumar Thakur joined virtually.

Among others, Dy. DEO Nagesh Singh, Nodal Officer Election Trainings Ranjit Thakur, Nodal Officer IT & Use of Technology Vevek Sharma (DIO NIC) and other concerned were present during the randomization process.
