ANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 05: Election Observer, Sudhanshu Mohan Samal visited Strong Room established at Government Degree College Dooru, falling under Assembly Constituency 41-Dooru to assess the preparations for securing the EVMs of General Assembly elections.

During the visit, the Observer inspected the infrastructure, and operational readiness at the Strong Room. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of security and transparency throughout the election process, ensuring the safe storage and handling of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).

The Observer expressed satisfaction with the preparations and encouraged the election staff to maintain the protocols strictly. He highlighted the Election Commission’s commitment for conducting free, fair, and transparent elections.

The Observer briefed the concerned officers to adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Election Commission of India.

Pertinently, the polling for the Assembly Constituency is slated for 18th September, 2024 in the first phase of polling in Jammu & Kashmir.
