RAJOURI, AUGUST 27: A Mega SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) Awareness Program was organized today at the Municipal Committee Thannamandi on the directions of District Election Officer Abhishek Sharma and the guidance of District Nodal Officer Bishamber Dass and Nodal Officer SVEEP AC 87-Thannamandi Dr. Ather Aziz Raina.
The program commenced with the inauguration of the Democracy Wall, followed by a signature campaign and detailed awareness lectures aimed at fostering voter education and encouraging electoral participation.
SDM Abid Hussain Shah and Dr. Ather Aziz Raina delivered insightful lectures, emphasizing the significance of voter participation in the democratic process.
Dr. Raina also lauded the efforts of EO Municipal Committee Yousif Ul Umar and Tariq Mehmood, IC Sanitary Inspector, for their pivotal role in organizing the event.
The event witnessed the participation of several government functionaries including Tehsildar Thannamandi, Zonal Physical Officer, Principal of Boys Higher Secondary School, Manager of J&K Bank, JEEs and AEEs of the PWD (R&B) Department Thannamandi, along with local residents and employees of the Municipal Committee Thannamandi.
The program marked a significant step towards enhancing electoral awareness in the region, ensuring that every citizen exercises their right to vote in the upcoming elections.
