KUPWARA, AUGUST 24: Ahead of the upcoming Assembly Elections 2024, the Returning Officer, (RO) for AC 6-Langate, Dr. Mudasir Ahmad convened a series of meetings with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in the constituency.
In a meeting held today with BLOs from AC 6-Langate, the RO emphasized the crucial role of BLOs in ensuring a free, fair, and transparent voting process. He stressed the importance of thorough preparation, including creating route maps in advance to facilitate the smooth movement of Home Voting Teams and other polling staff.
Additionally, Dr. Mudasir briefed the BLOs on the functioning of Voter Assistance Booths, which will be established to assist senior citizens aged 85 and above, as well as persons with disabilities (PWDs), on polling day.
