RAMBAN AUGUST 31: The District Administration’s awareness campaign under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative is continuously making progress in engaging youth across Ramban district in the electoral process. This initiative is focused on increasing voter participation in the upcoming Assembly Election 2024.

Guided by District Election Officer (DEO) Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, the District SVEEP team organized awareness programs at Government Model Higher Secondary School (GMHSS) Ramban and Government Degree College (GDC) Ramban, with a strong emphasis on galvanizing youth involvement.

The series of inaugural programs kicked off today, starting with a morning session at GMHSS Ramban, where students actively participated by delivering speeches and creating artwork, all highlighting the importance of voting.

Later in the day, an educational session was held at GDC Ramban, led by Kewal Krishen Sharma, the Nodal Officer for SVEEP in AC-54 Ramban. Students were not only encouraged to cast their own votes but were also motivated to ensure that their family members and neighbors participate in the electoral process.

In the afternoon, the SVEEP team, utilizing the SVEEP Publicity Van, reached out to residents of Ramban town and Maitra Panchayat. The team raised awareness about the significance of voting and encouraged the community to strive for a record voter turnout in their assembly constituency on September 18.

The ongoing efforts under the SVEEP initiative are being implemented across Ramban district to ensure a well-informed and actively participating electorate in the forthcoming Assembly Election 2024.
