SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 25: Member of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Salman Sagar, today moved a resolution in the House seeking denotification of the Phaak area and Rural Block Harwan from the Srinagar Master Plan.
The Resolution reads, “This House resolves that the Phaak area and Rural Block Harwan be denotified from the Srinagar Master Plan, thereby limiting the jurisdiction of Lake Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA) in the area and to regulate the predominantly rural area under applicable Panchayati Raj and Rural Development laws, and to withdraw unnecessary urban planning restrictions causing hardship to residents.”
The Resolution will be taken up for discussion later in the ongoing session of the House.
