BHADERWAH, NOVEMBER 27: An impactful Awareness Camp was today organised at the Tehsil Social Welfare Office (TSWO), Bhaderwah to educate local people about the Pension Schemes.
The officials provided comprehensive information on a range of pension schemes, including Old Age Pension, Women in Distress Pension and Disability Pension.
The participants were guided on the eligibility criteria, entitled financial assistance and the list of mandatory documents required to be uploaded on the Jansugam Portal.
Special emphasis was laid on timely processing of applications and assisting citizens in overcoming documentation challenges.
The camp also addressed the pressing issue of drug abuse, shedding light on its severe social and health consequences. Attendees were sensitized about the government’s ongoing initiatives under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, community-based interventions and the role of families, schools and local institutions in prevention and rehabilitation efforts. The awareness session highlighted the importance of community vigilance and collective responsibility in safeguarding the youth.
The event concluded with participants taking an anti-drug pledge, reaffirming their commitment to rejecting drug abuse and promoting a healthier, responsible and drug-free society. Officials urged the public to spread awareness, support vulnerable individuals and contribute to the broader mission of fostering social welfare, empowerment and community well-being across the region.
