BANDIPORA, MARCH 25: In a significant step towards promoting electoral participation and strengthening democracy, a special awareness programme under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was today conducted at Migrant transit accommodation Odina Sumbal.
The programme was held under the patronage of Chief Education Officer Bandipora/ Nodal Officer Manpower and Trainings, Dr G .M. Puju.
The program was aimed at enlightening the inhabitants of transit accommodation about the crucial importance of their vote in democratic process.
The event was further enriched by the valuable participation of members from the civil society, who eloquently spoke on the occasion, highlighting the vital role of vote in strengthening democracy.
The speakers highlighted the direct impact of voting on the quality of governance and the everyday lives of citizens, underscoring the fact that every single vote counts towards shaping the future of the nation.
In addition to disseminating key information about the voting process, practical guidance was provided regarding how migrant employees can vote at their current residence.
