SHOPIAN, JULY 29: Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women (SHEW), Mission Shakti (MS) Shopian organized a significant awareness programme under the banner of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) at CFC Centre, Zainapora.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Zainapora, Bilal Ahmad among other officers were present at the event.
On the occasion, the SDM delivered an insightful speech emphasizing the importance of empowering the girl child through education and equal opportunities.
Other speakers also addressed the gathering and shared their views on gender equality and social upliftment.
Key highlights of the event included a pledge ceremony, sticker pasting activity, awareness rally, and the felicitation of girl toppers who had shown exceptional performance in academics. These activities aimed to spread awareness and reinforce the message of valuing and empowering girls in society.
The programme saw active participation from girl students, ASHA workers, Anganwadi Workers (AWWs), and members of NRLM Self Help Groups (SHGs), reflecting strong community engagement and support for the BBBP mission.
