BARAMULLA, SEPTEMBER 30: The Education Department Baramulla today organized a Book Donation Drive at Girls Higher Secondary School Baramulla as part of Sewa Parv 2025. The drive was launched by Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa.

The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation as students, teachers and volunteers came forward to donate a large number of books. The drive is aimed at supporting learners from economically weaker backgrounds and promoting the culture of sharing knowledge within the community. The theme “Donate a book, donate a dream” highlighted the spirit of the campaign.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the donated books will be distributed among students belonging to far-flung areas of the district who cannot afford to buy them. He added that such efforts are vital in ensuring that every student, regardless of economic constraints, gets the opportunity to continue their education.

He further expressed hope that such initiatives should not remain confined to Sewa Parv alone but continue as a regular practice in the district, thereby creating sustainable support systems for underprivileged learners.

He appreciated the efforts of the Education Department for organizing the programme and urged the community, especially youth and volunteers, to contribute actively towards such noble causes.
