Bandipora, 13 Nov: Residents of Aragam in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district held a candlelight march in response to the recent death of a civilian from Naidkhai, Bandipora. The woman, injured in a grenade attack at the TRC in Srinagar, later succumbed to her injuries.

The peaceful march saw the participation of local residents, former sarpanch, students, and civil society members. Participants voiced strong disapproval of the attack, describing it as an act contrary to human values. The procession started near Higher Secondary Aragam and concluded at Aragam’s main chowk, where those present offered their condolences to the families affected by the incident.

Expressing discontent with the violence, protesters emphasized the injustice of targeting civilians. One participant stated, “These killings must not go unpunished. Taking innocent lives is a grave wrongdoing.”

The candlelight march was a moment of unity, with the Bandipora community gathering to condemn the violence and extend support to the bereaved families.
