PULWAMA, MAY 13: District Administration Pulwama today concluded the 2nd batch of a three-day training programme for Supervisors and Enumerators for Census 2027 Phase-I (House Listing and Housing Census).
The training programme was organised to equip the field functionaries with the requisite knowledge and skills for smooth, systematic and effective conduct of the forthcoming Census operations.
During the training sessions, the participants were imparted detailed orientation regarding procedures for House Listing and Housing Census, data collection methodology, use of digital tools and adherence to prescribed census guidelines and protocols. The trainees were also sensitized about their roles and responsibilities in ensuring accuracy, transparency and timely completion of the census exercise.
The training programme was conducted at various centres across the district including Government Degree College Boys Pulwama, Government Degree College Tral, Government Degree College Pampore, Government Higher Secondary School Kakapora, Town Hall Tral and Government Higher Secondary School Rajpora.
During the programme, Master Trainers and concerned officers interacted with the participants and addressed their queries to ensure better understanding of census procedures and effective field-level implementation.
Meanwhile, District Administration Pulwama is set to kickstart the Self Enumeration phase for Census-2027 with a District Level Startup Programme scheduled to be held at the District headquarters Pulwama on May 17. Besides, similar kickstart programmes shall also be organised at all Charge levels. The programmes aim to sensitise District/ Sectoral Officers, officials and participants regarding the concept, methodology and operational framework of Self Enumeration to ensure effective public outreach, awareness generation and coordinated implementation of Census-2027 activities across the district.
Further, Help Desks have been established at Panchayat and Patwar Halqa levels to facilitate and assist the public in the Self Enumeration process under Census-2027, ensuring wider awareness, accessibility and smooth participation in the upcoming census exercise.
