Bandipora, Nov 26, : Congress legislator from Badnipora, Nizamuddin Bhat Tuesday expressed confidence that the Central government will honor its commitments to the people of Jammu and Kashmir regarding the restoration of constitutional rights and guarantees.
Speaking at a Constitution Day event in Bandipora, Bhat said that the Centre will uphold its promises made in Parliament and in Kashmir.
“The Centre has made commitments to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and I firmly believe they will honor them and restore statehood to Jammu and Kahsmir,” Bhat said.
He added that respecting the emotions and feelings of the people is crucial, along with acknowledging the democratic mandate of the popularly elected government in Jammu and Kashmir.
