POONCH, SEPTEMBER 11: Chief Education Officer Poonch, Lal Hussain, conducted a series of surprise inspections across several schools in the Poonch Zone today, including MS Dehrian, MS Sola Jugal, HS Degwar, and MS Degwar, among others.

The visits aimed to evaluate the overall functioning of the institutions and ensure that quality education is being imparted at all levels.

During his visit, CEO Hussain interacted with students, inquiring about their progress in completing the syllabus. He emphasized the need for timely syllabus completion, especially in primary and pre-primary classes, to ensure that students in this border district receive a strong foundation for future learning. He urged teachers to maintain high standards and directed them to prioritize the academic needs of younger students.

In addition to academics, Lal Hussain inspected several school kitchens, where he closely examined the hygiene standards and the quality of food being provided under the Mid-Day Meal Scheme.

He reiterated the importance of maintaining clean kitchens and ensuring nutritious meals for the students, as this directly impacts their health and learning capacity.

The CEO also met with teaching faculty and school heads, reviewing the status of local funds and the management of cash books. He instructed the school heads to utilize funds judiciously and transparently. Lal Hussain stressed the importance of financial accountability, stating that all resources must be deployed efficiently to improve the overall school environment and educational infrastructure.

Additionally, the CEO directed school heads to strictly implement the academic calendar issued by the Directorate of School Education.

In several instances, Hussain noted lapses in punctuality and directed school heads to maintain strict discipline among the staff to ensure the smooth functioning of the institutions.
CEO was accompanied by Vijay Kumar, ZEPO Poonch, and senior officers from the education department.
