RAJOURI, MAY 22: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, a series of Civil Defence training and awareness camps were organised today in different parts of the District Rajouri to enhance disaster preparedness among the public and Ex-Servicemen from border areas.

A dedicated training/awareness camp was held at the Zila Sainik Board under the supervision of Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Jabeen Lone. The camp witnessed active participation from Ex-Servicemen residing in various border regions, who were equipped with essential knowledge and practical skills in basic civil defence techniques. The programme aimed to empower them to act effectively in times of emergencies.

As part of the ongoing training drive, another awareness camp was organised at Municipality Hall Thanamandi.

The camp focused on spreading awareness about disaster management, first response actions, and the importance of community preparedness.

The week-long civil defence initiative has seen enthusiastic participation from the general public and aims to build a culture of safety and resilience across the district.

The District Administration Rajouri, under the leadership of DC remains committed to strengthening grassroots-level disaster response mechanisms through regular training and public engagement activities.
