DODA, JUNE 20: Dr. Om Kumar, the Chief Medical Officer of Doda, chaired a virtual meeting with all Block Medical Officers (BMOs) of the district to review preparations for the 10th Edition of International Day of Yoga, 2024.
During the meeting, Dr. Kumar directed all BMOs to celebrate the day with full dedication and enthusiasm. He emphasized the importance of carrying out the activities as instructed by the District Administration and the Directorate Office. Additionally, he asked for all performed activities to be submitted and uploaded to the various platforms already specified.
Dr. Kumar highlighted that the primary purpose of celebrating International Yoga Day is to raise public awareness about the benefits of practicing yoga. He stressed the importance of making the celebrations a grand success across all medical blocks, with active participation from health professionals.
He also instructed that all staff deployed to participate in the main programs at Sports Stadium Doda and Gatha Lake Bhaderwah on June 21, 2024, should ensure their presence. These main events will serve as the focal points of the district’s celebrations.
