Constitution Day celebrated at GDC Khansahib

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 26: The 75th Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas) was celebrated with much fanfare at GDC Khansahib.

Under the leadership of college principal, Dr. Nargis Bano, the faculty members, NSS volunteers and students took part in these celebrations.

The program started with an introductory address presented by the college Principal wherein she delved into the significance of observing constitution day as a fundamental duty, thereafter, all participants read-out the Preamble of Constitution.

Dr. Sajad Padder, HOD Political Science & NSS Programme Officer spoke on the theme, ‘Constituent Assembly and Constitutionalism in India.’ He highlighted the working of the Indian constituent assembly and the spirit of Indian constitution.

Dr. Abdul Waheed Bhat, HOD History urged the participants to read the constitution and imbibe its ideals. Three college students, Khushboo Javid, Mohammad Owais and Ummar Bashir also spoke on different aspects of the constitution.
