Coronavirus: JK logs 540 new cases, two deaths

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Friday reported two deaths and fresh 540 cases pushing the number of active cases to 7,424 in the UT.
With two more deaths, the death toll in J&K has reached 4,741 and 540 fresh positive cases reported on Friday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 449,873.
Of the exact number of 449,873 cases, 285,897 are from Kashmir division and 163,976 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 540 new cases, 228 belong to Kashmir division while as 312 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 285,897 including 278,970 recoveries and 2,421 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 163,976 including 158,738 recoveries and 2,320 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 7,424 including 4,506 from Kashmir division and 29,18 from Jammu division.
With 2,918 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 437,708 which is 97.30 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 89 from Srinagar, 29 from Baramulla, 32 from Budgam, 12 from Pulwama, 26 from Kupwara, 07 from Anantnag, 07 from Bandipora, 15 from Ganderbal, 06 from Kulgam and 05 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 312 from Jammu division include 131 from Jammu district, 22 from Udhampur, 09 from Rajouri, 61 from Doda, 27 from Kathua, 07 from Samba, 01 from Kishtwar, 06 from Poonch, 36 from Ramban and 12 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 101,666 positive cases including 906/7 deaths and 99,040 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,466 including 304 deaths and 36,300 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,668 including 34,109 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Budgam, 18,384 including 18,024 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,556 including 173 deaths and 21,053 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,372 including 21,774 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,622 cases including 13,228 and 118 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,600 including 13,318 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,270 including 16,016 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,293 including 6,108 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 75,223 including 72,668 recoveries and 1,222 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,627 including 14,404 recoveries and 146 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,747 including 12,432 recoveries and 248 deaths are from Rajouri, 10,926 including 9,969 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Doda, 11,299 including 10,972 recoveries and 165 deaths are from Kathua, 9,054 including 8,865 recoveries and 124 deaths are from Samba, 5,808 including 5,712 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,701 including 7,492 recoveries and 109 deaths are from Poonch, 7,946 including 7,716 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,645 including 8,508 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Reasi.
