SRINAGAR, AUGUST 13: As part of the ongoing Independence Day Celebrations, 2026, the Cultural Unit Srinagar of the Information Department conducted a patriotic and educational programme at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS), Tailbal, Srinagar, featuring Painting, Speech, Quiz and Singing activities.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic and wholehearted participation of students, who showcased their creativity, talent and patriotic spirit, while the activities sought to foster patriotic consciousness and reinforce the values of freedom, unity, sacrifice, national integrity and responsible citizenship among the younger generation.
Abdul Raqib Bhat, Cultural Officer, Kashmir, and Syed Shakeel Shah, AECO, graced the programme and appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation and commendable efforts. They also acknowledged the cooperation extended by the school authorities, which contributed significantly to the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
